A plan for the people

A plan for the people, not for the taxman !

The solution to America’s economic woes, is to adjust our tax system to support and stabilize the economy, thus making tax work for the people instead of the people working for the taxman !

The economy would be stabilized by maintaining a high level of employment.  Large tax incentives to businesses for hiring American citizens, would accomplish this.  Businesses would also get generous tax deductions for investments that boost their production capacity.

The increased demand that would result from full employment would lead to increased production.  This would cure our ailing economy.  Abolishment of the individual income tax is the additional icing on this cake.

The proposal is efficient because it taxes the spoils instead of the toils.  By that, we mean it taxes the profits of business, but not the labor of individuals working for that business.  This safes a lot of effort and is less wasteful, so the remaining tax burden for profitable business should also be lower than the total of what they now pay to the government.

Individuals would never need to file an income tax return again, and businesses would benefit from a tax system designed to promote our economy.  The plan is not only designed to boost the economy with incentives to achieve full employment.  It also has a small adjustable national sales tax that can be changed into a small subsidy to boost consumption during an economic slowdown to stabilize the economy even better.  To thwart empty speculation that is not helpful to our economy, there is an additional tax on the profits made from it.   Constructive investments that support the economy would not been hampered.
